RASPBERRY AND AVOCADO SMOOTHIE

Super healthy and super yummy in equal measure. This oh-so-creamy smoothie provides an incredible dose of vitamins and minerals for your little one in just one serving!

Perfect for child development, the beets and avocado alone supply an assortment of vitamins, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium… the list goes on! Both blended with raspberries and mango for the ultimate super healthy breakfast or treat, brimming with delicious flavours.

 

SMOOTHIE INGREDIENTS 

(makes 1 serving)

  • Red beet, half of a small one, cooked or steamed, peeled and chopped
  • Mango, ripe, 1 cheek, peeled and chopped
  • Avocado, ¼, peeled
  • Raspberries, ½ cup
  • (optional) small piece of fresh ginger, peeled
  • Rice milk, ½ to ¾ cup, depending on desired consistency

 

METHOD

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high until smooth and creamy.
  2. Pour into a cup, optionally decorate with puffed quinoa, and serve.

 

PUREÉ INGREDIENTS

(makes 1 serving)

  • Baby rice, 2 tbsp (+ 4 tbsp hot water)
  • Red beet, half of a small one, cooked or steamed, peeled and chopped
  • Mango, ripe, 1 cheek, peeled and chopped
  • Avocado, ¼, peeled
  • Raspberries, ⅓ cup
  • (optional) small piece of fresh ginger, peeled

 

METHOD

  1. Mix baby rice and hot water in a small bowl.
  2. Blend baby rice mixture along with all remaining ingredients into a smooth cream, using an immersion blender.
  3. Transfer to a cup of bowl, optionally top with fresh fruits and/or quinoa puffs, and serve.
