OMG this actually tastes like pie!
This is one will really test unconditional love, if bubba gets to eat more than you. :)
On the surface, it's sweet potatoes and other deliciousness blended up. But really it's a naturally gluten-free, silky, velvety, puddingy smoothie, that's going to set you (ahem) your little one's morning just right.
SMOOTHIE INGREDIENTS
(Makes 1 serving)
- Sweet potato, peeled and cubed, steamed, ⅓ cup
- Mango, ripe, 1 cheek, peeled and chopped
- Yogurt, low fat Greek or coconut alternative, 1 tbsp
- Hemp seeds, 1 tsp
- Cinnamon, a dash
- Orange juice, ½ cup
- Rice milk or light coconut milk, ¼ cup
METHOD
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into a cup, optionally decorate with a sprinkle of hemp seeds and serve.
PUREÉ INGREDIENTS
(Makes 1 serving)
- Sweet potato, peeled and cubed, steamed, ⅓ cup
- Mango, ripe, 1 cheek, peeled and chopped
- Yogurt, low fat Greek or coconut alternative, 2 tbsp
- Hemp seeds, 1 tsp
- Cinnamon, a dash
- Orange juice, 2-3 tbsp
METHOD
- Blend all ingredients into a smooth cream, using an immersion blender.
- Transfer to a cup or bowl, optionally decorate with chopped mango and/or hemp seeds, and serve.
